In the match between Chivas de Guadalajara and Rayados de Monterrey, at the Akron Stadium the homophobic cry appeared once again, which was repeated several times, to the point that the main player of the match, Diego Montaño, had to stop the match for a few minutes.
After the shout, the referee took the ball, while the voice of the stadium asked the fans to calm down, however, as this did not happen, the whistler stopped the actions for a period of about five minutes.
“Let’s stop all shouting and all discriminatory acts. We are part of the show and we are the best fans, we have to live our lives with respect”was the message that sounded over the Akron Stadium speakers.
After the time has elapsed, the main one resumed the commitment and immediately after sentenced the end of the match, since the fans had not calmed down and continued to insult and hurl insults at the players and at Michel Leaño.
It is not the first time that Chivas fans demand at the top of their lungs, inside the stadium, the dismissal of Leaño, however, on this occasion the euphoria overwhelmed them and there was no way to calm him down and since the 90 minutes had already passed, the referee considered that it was best to finish the game.
Despite requests from fans, the sports director of the ‘Sacred Flock’, Ricardo Peláez, has already spoken about it and made it clear that the coach will remain until the end of Clausura 2022 and there they will make a decision.
