Troy Khoeler, a 7-year-old boy who was reported missing Thursday morning in Texas was found dead in a washing machine, according to an update from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Homicide Unit.
Very early, around 5:20 am, Troy’s parents filed a missing persons report, so officers from the homicide unit responded and began a thorough search of the house.
According to Lieutenant Robert Minchew, around 7:20 am, officers found the boy fully clothed in the top-loading washing machinelocated in the garage.
Troy is a foster child who was possibly adopted by the family in 2019, but authorities are still working to confirm this.
So far, no arrests have been made, but at this time, authorities said it was unclear if this was a tragic accident or something may have happened to the boy and he was then placed in the machine.
The parents were detained and taken to the sheriff’s office for further interviews.without there being a judicial process against them.
Meanwhile, the authorities are carrying out a criminal investigation to clarify the case.
This case joins others that are initially unclear as to what happened and that involve minors, such as that of a woman in Connecticut, who was found dead in her home this week along with her three children, suspected of strangling the children. before taking his own life, however, so far the investigation is inconclusive.
