In yet another example of how dire the homeless crisis is in Los Angeles, a homeless man entered a fire station in Los Angeles and caused a violent incident caught on video in which three firefighters are seen punching and kicking him.
The video of the beating at LAFD station 6 in the Silver Lake neighborhood, published by local channel ABC7It went viral on social media. The individual was wearing a wig.
According to witnesses interviewed in the ABC7 report, the homeless man hit often causes problems in the area, such as throwing bottles on the pavementinto cars and fighting with other homeless people or residents.
“The person with the wig, it’s problematic,” said Cristina Ruiz, a neighbor who was interviewed.
The man has had problems with firefighters in the past, for which the LAFD requested a restraining order against him.
The same report cites the LAFD conducts an internal investigation and that the Los Angeles Police Department conducts a criminal investigation.
