Customs and Border Protection (CBP) reported the rescue of several injured migrants and lost in the last days in Texas.
Through a statement, he explained that on August 10, Harlingen agents located a Honduran citizen who called 911 near Raymondville, Texas.
Later that same day, agents from the Rio Grande city station requested emergency medical services for a young man suffering from convulsions near Rome.
The Honduran migrant He was taken, along with his mother, to the hospital for a medical evaluation.
A Salvadoran immigrant was also evaluated with a possible ankle fracture after being apprehended near Hidalgo, Texas. Likewise, she was transferred to a medical center for her further treatment.
While on August 9, nine lost migrants, one of them with a leg injurywere found by Rio Grande Valley Sector Border Patrol agents in Edinburg, Texas.
The agents of the McAllen Border Patrol Station (MCS) responded to the call for help from a person who told them she was missing and had a leg injury.
Elements of MCS and the US Coast Guard arrived at the scene and found the injured immigrant along with four other individuals from Nicaragua.
An Emergency Medical Treatment (EMT) agent assessed the injured woman, who was subsequently transported to the hospital for further medical evaluation and treatment.
In another event, on August 8, other immigrants who were lost on a ranch near Sarita, Texas, were rescued by the Kingsville Border Patrol.
After performing a search, officers found two people, one originally from Honduras and the other from El Salvador. A third subject from Mexico was located with the support of a National Guard helicopter.
All three people were in good health. and were taken to the Javier Vega Jr.
CBP calls on immigrants not to risk their lives by trying to cross illegally, noting that with the extreme heat hitting South Texas, people lost or left behind in desolate areas are at risk of serious injury.
