Carlos Vela’s LAFC and Javier “Chicharito” Hernández’s LA Galaxy face this weekend the thirteenth day of the MLS with important commitments and with the intention of reuniting with victory after several unsuccessful days.
Both Mexican soccer players, both Carlos Vela and Chicharito have been in the news in recent weeks. On the one hand Vela and his public interest in wanting to continue playing as the franchise footballer he is in LAFC, and on the other hand Chicharito with the eternal novel of his non-call by Gerardo Martino to rejoin El Tri. The striker from Guadalajara revealed this week in an interview that if he did not want to play another World Cup he would have already retired.
The same way, Chicharito adds an important drought of goals with the LA Galaxy, which takes away the possibility of dreaming a call with Mexico. For his part, Vela, after a nine-game scoreless streak, became the third player in MLS history to reach the 100-goal mark faster.
Challenges in the next day for Chicharito and Carlos Vela
Both Carlos Vela’s LAFC and Chicharito Hernández’s LA Galaxy will play this weekend the thirteenth day of the MLS. Both eleventh will face their commitments with similar feelings and with the intention of finally being able to meet again with victory.
LAFC has lost two in a row and they have managed just one point from the last nine they have played. Their next match will be in Ohio against the always difficult Columbus Crew, in a match that will open the day in the North American league this Saturday.
The LA Galaxy led by Chicharito Hernández will face each other the next day when they host the Houston Dynamo. The situation of the team is complicated considering that they have only won one victory in the last four games, that is, they have three points out of the last 16 at stake.
News in El Tri
Currently the names of the Mexican team Javier Chicharito Hernández and Carlos Vela are well remembered, however the story with the current DT is different for both. Almost two years ago, Tata Martino explained that he talked to Vela about calling him up for the national team and his response was to want to give priority to his club and his family. Since then the issue was almost closed by the Argentine coach.
For his part, Chicharito continues to dream of a call to the Tri and that is why, despite his scoring drought, the former Chivas, Real Madrid, Manchester United and Bayern Leverkusen player strives to be taken into account with Martino and dream of a call to the Qatar 2022 World Cup.
For now, things look very uphill for the Galaxy footballer who did not appear in Mexico’s last call for friendly games and the Nations League.
