Eugenio Derbez He enjoys a great moment in his artistic career as a result of his time in Hollywood. Currently, the comedy actor is promoting the movie “The Valet” and has done so both in the United States and in Mexico.
However, not all the media in Mexico have supported this premiere of Eugenio, which resurfaced suspicions that it would be banned. In an interview with Javier Poza On Radio Formúla, the also protagonist of the Apple TV + series “Acapulco”, confirmed that Televisa México had vetoed him.

Eugenio had been on “Despierta América” promoting “The Valet” days ago and said he did not understand how it was banned in Mexico. The actor explained that after the film in which he participated, “Coda”, won the Oscar, he traveled to Mexico and a reporter told him that there was a memo on Televisa Mexico where he was prohibited from interviewing him.
“In Mexico they have not given me the exact reason [sobre el veto] but I want to assume that it is because of the Mayan train”, Derbez supposed.
Derbez openly spoke of his opposition to the construction of railroad tracks in Mexico as it would harm the environment. The comedian concluded that this would be the only reason why he would be banned from Televisa. Derbez recalled that after the Oscar Awards, he had some interviews scheduled in Mexico but they were canceled at the last minute.
After Eugenio Derbez’s statements were made known, the owner of Televisa, Emilio Azcarraga JeanHe denied it on Twitter. As proof, she showed a clip of an interview between Paola Rojas and Derbez on a Televisa news show right after his Oscar win.

In a second tweet, Azcárraga also shared a video of the coverage of the “Save me from the Train” campaign in which Derbez participated. Later, Azcárraga revealed what would be the real reason for the anger between Derbez and Televisa.
