However, not all the media in Mexico have supported this premiere of Eugenio, which resurfaced suspicions that it would be banned. In an interview with Javier Poza On Radio Formúla, the also protagonist of the Apple TV + series “Acapulco”, confirmed that Televisa México had vetoed him.

Eugenio had been on “Despierta América” promoting “The Valet” days ago and said he did not understand how it was banned in Mexico. After Eugenio Derbez’s statements were made known, the owner of Televisa, Emilio Azcarraga JeanHe denied it on Twitter. As proof, she showed a clip of an interview between Paola Rojas and Derbez on a Televisa news show right after his Oscar win.

In a second tweet, Azcárraga also shared a video of the coverage of the “Save me from the Train” campaign in which Derbez participated. Later, Azcárraga revealed what would be the real reason for the anger between Derbez and Televisa.
