Clarendon County Police have arrested four suspects in connection with a shooting mass that was recorded at a graduation party where one person died and eight others were injured.
The shooting occurred June 4 at a home on St. Paul Road near Summerton. The report of the authorities indicated that two cars stopped at the home and started shootingthen flee south on St. Paul Highway.
During the interviews with the victims, they reported that the events occurred when they were standing in the front yard of the house or near the road, enjoying their graduation party, when a car stopped and for no apparent reason he opened fire on the crowd of about 150 people.
The officers revealed that the suspects fired up to 70 rounds. Audrionna Kind, 32, known as Tutu, and a mother of five, was killed. The other victims between the ages of 12 and 17 were taken to the hospital to treat them due to the bullet wounds they received.
Agents arrested Tyrese Brunson, 21, Amontae Wright, 18, Jaheim Billie, 19, and Demadrae Dennis, 21.
Clarendon County Sheriff Tim Baxley explained at a news conference that Each of them is charged with one count of murder. eight counts of assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature, as well as possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
“These arrests do not mean that the investigation is over. It will continue as more suspects are identified and charged, we believe it was a gang related incident stemming from other incidents that have taken place in the county,” Baxley shared.

The police file stated that both Tyrese Brunson as Demadrae Dennis have criminal records. The former was charged with assault and battery of a serious and aggravated nature, as well as possession of a weapon during a violent crime. Both cases are pending, court records show.
For his part, Dennis faced charges of robbery and theft since February 2019, he was charged with illegal carrying of a pistol in June 2019. He was also arrested for failing to stop at blue lights. in June of last year. Court records show that each of these cases is pending.
