Intending to follow in the footsteps of the record-breaking Agera RS, Koenigsegg launched the Jesko at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show. This car was named after the father of the company’s founder and CEO Christian von Koenigsegg.

The model has a revised carbon fiber cabin, power plant and completely new gearbox, developed in-house.

Although “Attack” spec cars are already in production, Koenigsegg reveals the first low-drag Absolut prototype, a variant focused on breaking top speed records.

Featuring a trademark graphite gray finish Tang Orange by Koenigseggthis prototype could be our first look at the world’s fastest road-legal production car.

Although the brand is hesitant to give an official figure yet, it has previously revealed a target of 310 miles per hour for the low-drag Absolut.

The name Absolut comes from the fact that this is the fastest Koenigsegg we have

Christian von Koenigsegg, founder and CEO of the company

The model’s power is a redesigned version of the same 5.0-liter turbocharged V8 found in the brand’s previous models, capable of pushing 1,600 bhp and 1,106 pound-feet of torque to the rear wheels when running on highway fuel.

This car is capable of accelerating from 0 to 62 miles per hour in 2.6 seconds.

The use of lightweight components in manufacturing reduces unwanted vibration typically found in flat crankshaft plants and allows the engine to spin at an impressive 8,500 rpm.

One of the most impressive things about this Jesko is its new nine-speed Light Speed Transmission (LST). The brand claims that it is capable of making gear changes “almost at the speed of light” due to the rapid simultaneous opening and closing of the clutches that makes it accelerate and decelerate without any problem.

The Ultimate Power On Demand (UPOD) multi-clutch system allows the gearbox to jump gear more effectivelyunlike a dual-clutch system that has to go through all the gears on the way.

Due to its continuous change, either up or down, everything happens much faster. There are no lags, it is very responsive and behaves exactly how you want it to

Markus Lundh, Jesko’s prototype pilot

The production of this car will be limited to only 125 units and will cost more than two million dollars.
