L.A. Zoo

Every weekend in April, the Los Angeles Zoo (5333 Zoo Dr., Los Angeles) will host Wild for the Planet, a combination of the spring season and Earth Month, a month with an emphasis on sustainable and environmental management. The educational and entertaining event includes the Earth Expo, twice-daily animal feedings, photo opportunity, talk with children’s book author Ziggy Marley – last weekend only – and more. Children’s Theater

The play Rapunzel Alone is loosely inspired by the popular tale of Rapunzel, and centers on Lettie, a mixed-race girl living in London who is sent out of town for her own safety during the daily bombing raids of World War II. Isolated, she faces her own battles with a very strict guardian and a very unique goose. It is presented at the 24th Street Theater (1117 W. 24th St., Los Angeles). dinosaur experience

Tyrannosaurs rex, spinosaurs, stegosaurus and many other species of animatronic-activated dinosaurs return to Plaza West Covina (112 Plaza Dr., West Covina) in a massive display of these life-size creatures. Visitors will be able to see their roars and see their movements from the cars. Starting tomorrow Friday and until April 24th. Tickets $59 to $95; must be purchased online in advance. The singer of Colombian descent, Sofía Carson, will visit the Grammy Museum (800 W. Olympic Blvd., Los Angeles) to talk about the details of her new album, which bears her name.
