On April 1, 2004 Google decided to launch “Gmail”, which today is the email service par excellence for many people.
Since its launch there was a particular event that marked the beginning of Gmail and was that many people believed that it was a hoax or a joke.
Initially, this launch was with the beta version and an account could only be obtained through an invitation from a registered user. Two invites was the initial fee for each user. Over time it increased.
Many of these people who did not believe the launch of Gmail at first thought it was because of its interface, in a clean and clear way.
Another reason that crushed all competitors in capacity was the search engine, your organization of messages in conversations and a 1 GB mailbox. This mailbox grew in size with each passing day. This generated the imminent victory of Google in this field.
Currently, Google’s reputation may have dwindled a bit, but Gmail is still deeply ingrained in people’s DNA. Search is online activity number two: email is number one.
The inspiration for Gmail came from a Google user who complained about the poor quality of existing email services.recalled Larry Page, co-founder and president of Google Products.
Gmail makes using email faster and more efficient by eliminating the need to file messages into folders and by automatically organizing individual emails into meaningful “conversations” that display messages in the context of all replies sent to them. .
