A great goal from Chicharito and the debut of Riqui Puig were not enough to give the LA Galaxy victory in a dramatic match against the Seattle Sounders that ended with a three-goal draw. A game of constant emotions and ups and downs was experienced at the Dignity Health Sports Park with a “Galactic” team that went up by two goals and then saw how they equalized and went up to end up drawing an agonizing draw at minute 92 .
Javier Chicharito Hernández put the LA Galaxy ahead after defining a service from Kevin Cabral, Hernández Balcázar managed to stabilize himself against the mark of three defenders and take a shot that would get into the bottom of Stefan Frei’s net. Víctor Velázquez scored the second goal at minute 42 to leave the score 2-0 in the first half.
Second half and the agony of the LA Galaxy
The second half was going to be full of emotions, moments of ups and downs for both teamss and some Sounders willing to achieve the epic that was only going to be snatched until the end of the match. Kelyn Rowe at minute 53 discounted for Seattle and hopes were still alive for the visit. At minute 61 the Peruvian Raúl Ruidíaz placed the tie before the incredulous eyes of the Galaxy fans. At minute 62, the long-awaited debut of the young ex-Barcelona Riqui Puig took place.
At 73 Jordan Morris perplexed the spectators after a series of rebounds, with what would be the third goal which meant the comeback of the Seattle Sounders and now left the responsibility in the hands of the LA Galaxy.
The LA Galaxy draw
After the third goal conceded, the LA Galaxy tried in every possible way to not be left without adding in this match. And it was until minute 92 when the 23-year-old Serbian footballer, Dejan Joveljić, placed the tie at three as a penalty and gave definitive figures for the match.
With this result the LA Galaxy add one more point that takes them to 24 and to occupy the sixth square on his belt. It should be noted that Chicharito already has a total of 11 goals so far this season.
