An operation by the Mexican authorities against organized crime led to the seizure of four luxurious mansions belonging to members of the drug cartel. The Michoacan Family.
In the three residences and a ranch, all located in the state of Mexico, luxury vehicles were found, gold plated furniture and even exotic animals, in addition to having amenities such as artificial lakes and sports fields.
In this regard, the State Attorney General’s Office reported that the buildings are located in the municipalities of Amatepec and Tlatlaya, and apparently were used as a refuge and places for criminal leaders to relax.
During the operation that was carried out simultaneously, three people were also arrested. “The result of these actions reduces the operational capacity of criminal groups in the region,” the Prosecutor’s Office said in a statement.
One of the insured properties is a ranch located in Amatepec, which has an area of approximately two hectares, and includes a house with 14 rooms, some with gold and silver plate finishes, as well as a collection of exotic animals.
Another of the houses, located in the community of San Pedro Limón, in Tlatlaya, has an area of 2 hectares, where there are swimming pools, palapas and gardens, while another insured residence in the same municipality has a 3-hectare plot of land with courts. sports, pool and stable.
According to the authorities’ report, the insured animals are 70 heads of cattle, 30 heads of goats, 40 farm birds, 3 horses and 2 peacocks.
Apparently, the insured properties are owned by Johnny Y Jose Alfredo Hurtado Olascoagaidentified as the leaders of the La Familia Michoacana criminal group that operates in the Tierra Caliente zone of the State of Mexico, Guerrero and Michoacán.
