The premise is set in a highly ranked school of Japan known as Koudo Ikusei Senior High School where students enjoy umpteen luxury and freedom. The school’s main objective is to develop the next generation into skilled adults that will benefit the country. However, the reality is not as rosy as it sounds. Students are ranked in order of merit and only the top students receive favourable treatment.
The protagonist, Kiyotaka Ayanokouji is ranked in class D which is filled with students who perform poorly. There he meets Suzune Horikita who thinks she is placed in class D by mistake and aspires to be in class A with intelligent students. He also meets the class idol Kikyou Kushida and she wishes to make as many friends as possible.
As students are allotted the classes based on their performance, lower-ranked students are not allowed to rise even if they score better than the top class students. In this harsh scenario, can they survive to make their identity?

Will there be Classroom of the Elite Season 2?
It has been quite a long time since our beloved series aired and fans have been going crazy about the release of the Classroom Of The Elite Season 2. To their disappointment, there has been no official announcement regarding the release date of the next season. Now the question arises: can fans expect a comeback season? Here’s everything we know so far.
Classroom Of The Elite known as Yōkoso Jitsuryoku Shijō Shugi no Kyōshitsu e in Japan is based on a successful Japanese light novel series that goes by the same name. It was first published in the year 2015. It was written by Shōgo Kinugasa and illustrated by Shunsaku Tomose.
Classroom Of The Elite is an incredible thriller anime series that was absolutely loved by the fans around the world for its psychological element. It only has one season so far created by Studio Lerche and directed by Seiji Kishi and Hiroyuki Hashimoto. There is no word shared by the team on whether the studio or the director will make a comeback for Classroom Of The Elite Season 2.
Speculations are that season 2 might never happen. If there were any chances of next season, then it would have happened a long time ago. The main reason is that this series couldn’t make an adequate amount of profit. It sold over 1,300 copies of Blu-ray on each disk which is quite concerning. The only thing well received by the audiences was it’s light novels as they sold over 100,000 copies of each volume.
The series Classroom Of The Elite premiered in Japan in April 2017. It ran for 12 episodes.
Hence, there is very little chance of this series further getting adapted into anime. If the creators have any plans of continuing the series, then we should hear about it in the next one or two years.

Final Words on Classroom Of The Elite
Anime Classroom Of The Elite is sure to give you enough drama to make your day a little more interesting. The art and animation are undoubtedly smooth and clean and the school premises will give you the feel of a small town or outlet rather than a high school. In short, the animation is beautifully designed. The opening and ending themes are sure to give you some chills.
However, Classroom Of The Elite has few criticisms. The idea of the series is not very well executed. Assigning students monetary value through points which are based on their merits and dividing the class based on students performance doesn’t seem appropriate. The point system is extremely flawed as the top students get to buy anything they wish for and are not affiliated with any kind of boundaries. Sadly, this show didn’t manage to pull off the traditional school life setting. The differentiation between the students will turn you off as this series pushes it to the maximum.
No efforts have been made to enhance the design of the characters except for the eyes of the students as they seem to shine brightly with vibrant splotches of colour. Everything else seems to be lazily designed. This series also consists of a ton of fan service. The show’s laid back attitude doesn’t feel interesting. It seemed like creators were too afraid to take any risk and instead, they chose to play safe. Classroom Of The Elite is a mediocre anime series as there’s no depth in the storyline or the characters.
