If you love supernatural animation, then this series is perfect for you. The series follows the journey of Yato God, a minor deity and a self-proclaimed “Delivery God” who doesn’t even have a single shrine dedicated to his name. He constantly dreams of having millions of worshippers. He spends his whole day doing odd jobs just for a few bucks.
Yato is saved one day by a middle school girl named Hiyori Iki from a bus accident as she pushes him away from the speeding bus when he suddenly runs into traffic. She survives but that sudden incident has caused her soul to slip from her body. She then becomes aware of the two parallel worlds, one which consists of normal human beings and creatures and the other one which consists of demons and human souls. For Hiyori to return to normal, she needs a partner. He asks Yato to help him to get her original form. Yato God accepts any wishes for 5 yen. Together they explore various adventures of both the worlds while struggling with their friendship, identity and pasts.
Will There Be Noragami Season 3?
It has been six years since our beloved series aired and fans have been flooding the internet with queries regarding the following season. To their disappointment, there has been no official announcement regarding the following season so far. Now the question arises: can fans expect for a season 3? Here’s everything we know so far.
The anime series Noragami is based on a successful Japanese manga that goes by the same name. The manga series was first published in the year 2011 and it was written and illustrated by Adachitoka.
Noragami is an incredible shōnen-action anime series that was immensely loved by audiences around the world for its supernatural element. This anime television series has two seasons so far with four OVAs. The series was created by Studio Bones and directed by Koutarou Tamura. There is no word shared by the team on whether the studio or the director will make a comeback for Noragami Season 3.
Speculations are that the third season might never happen. If there were any chances of season 3, it would have happened a long time ago. The main reason is that both the seasons failed to make an adequate amount of profit. Therefore, it is highly doubtful whether the production team will plan for a season 3 in this situation. Blu-ray sales dropped by 60% and manga couldn’t grab the audience’s attention either. Manga sold about 15,000 copies for the most recent volume. Noragami Season 1 and 2
The anime series Noragami is based on a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Adachitoka. It was serialised in Kodansha’s Monthly Shōnen Magazine in December 2010. It has been collected in twenty-four tankōbon volumes.
The first anime season aired from January to March 2014. The season ran for 12 episodes with 2 OVAs.
Later on, a second season named Noragami Aragoto was released from October to December 2015. The season ran for 13 episodes with 2 OVAs. Both the seasons were created by Studio Bones and directed by Koutarou Tamura.

Noragami is an amazing mixture of fantasy, action, comedy and love, it has got everything in balance. This is that one animated series you will never regret watching as it manages to pull off every element perfectly. Most of the characters are interesting and very likeable. This is a well-animated series. With the potential storyline and great characters, this anime deserves to be on top. We are glad the studio Bones didn’t try to mess up with the anime adaptation as Noragami was very well received by audiences all around the world.
One thing that is going to attract you is that this series has some diverse characters and they have amazing character development as well. Yato God is a perfect comedic fodder and will make you laugh throughout the show. The character of Yato differs from the typical Shōnen protagonists who are way too perfect. Our female protagonist, Hiyori Iki is the most badass female character you’ll find out there. She is determined and knows when to take the initiative when things go south. No character has been solely used for fanservice, unlike most of the series we see nowadays.
Noragami even has some realistic darker undertones that have been perfectly blended in with the story. This story will make you understand how painful it is to be forgotten and want to be remembered. The fear of loneliness is very well described in the series.
Each character design is unique and interesting to watch. The background is gorgeous and every minute detail about the anime has been carefully monitored. While this series isn’t flawless, it is still a high-quality anime. The anime shines in the action sequences. We bet this anime series won’t disappoint you.
