Will There Be Wise Man’s Grandchild Season 2?
It has been three years since our beloved series aired and fans have been flooding the internet with queries regarding the comeback season. To their disappointment, there is no official announcement regarding the second season so far. Now the question arises: can fans expect for a season 2? Here’s everything we know so far.
Kenja No Mago or people like to call it Wise Man’s Grandchild is adapted from a Japanese light novel series that goes by the same name. It was first published in 2015. This successful series is written by Tsuyoshi Yoshioka and illustrated by Seiji Kikuchi.
Wise Man’s Grandchild is an incredible isekai fantasy anime series that was loved by the audiences. It has only one season so far which was produced by the Studio Silver Link and directed by Masafumi Tamura. There has been no word shared by the team on whether the studio or director will make a comeback for Wise Man’s Grandchild season 2. We will post the exact release date once we know more.
Speculations are that the next season might never happen. The main reason is that it failed to make an adequate amount of profit. Therefore, it is highly doubtful whether the production team will plan for a season 2 in this situation. Season 1 only sold about 900 copies of Blu-ray each disk. The light novels weren’t successful either. The light novels sold less than 15,000 copies per volume. However, the manga series sold over 8,000 to 10,000 copies per volume. There is not enough popularity for the series among people. So there is no point in investing in another season.

Final Words on Wise Man’s Grandchild
Wise Man’s Grandchild is the most generic isekai but this series has some of the visuals that are going to leave you awestruck. The choreography has been done brilliantly.
This anime will take you on a refreshing ride. This is a well-animated series. There are some interesting hooks in this anime that were very well received by the audiences. This story is about a fun comedy romance with an interesting backstory going on to give the character a reason to continuously push forward and learn and grow so that they overcome these hurdles that come their way. Action sequences are one of the major reasons why you need to fix this anime series. We guarantee you this animation series is going to entertain you thoroughly.
However, Kenja No Mago has to face a few criticisms. The storyline feels like a carbon copy of any isekai light novel series. No efforts have been made to present a unique story in front of the audience. This series is kind of disappointing as we got a narcissistic overpowered protagonist with no real personality. His sole purpose of existing is to be loved and appreciated by other cardboard cutout characters in the show. This series failed to give any character development or interesting plot development to its audience.
Talking about the romance element, there is no progression being made in their love stories. No efforts have been made by the writer to make their relationship interesting except for pushing them together. Their love stories lack depth and just for the sake of the romance genre, they dragged the love stories for the whole season.
